Jim Panzee is back, but this time he is feeling extra silly and energetic instead of grumpy in this hilarious new book. Expressive illustrations comically capture his range of emotions as his jungle friends give him advice on calming down his excess energy until they catch spring fever themselves! Complete with stickers and an invitation to find hidden eggs in the illustrations, this is definitely one of our favorite new books for spring that we will be rereading often.

Join a trio of children as they wander through budding blossoms waking up woodland animals. Beyond the beauty of the luscious illustrations and rolling rhymes, this is an excellent conversation starter on the animals and insects we may begin seeing at the start of spring.

(Ages 3 and up)

It has been a long winter and poor Escargot, an adorable French snail, is suffering from ennui aka boredom. He invites the reader to join him as he ventures outside looking for signs of spring but finds a new friend instead. This book could not be cuter and is a fun addition to any spring collection!

This book provides a captivating exploration of a nurse log habitat, which, despite its small size, hosts hundreds of different life forms. With its flowing rhymes and charming illustrations, The Bear series is one of my absolute favorites and the latest installment is no exception. When Mama Meadowlark loses her eggs, Bear and his woodland friends come to the rescue searching high and low. Just as they find the last egg, the chicks hatch and Bear finds more than just eggs that day; he finds friends. This is such a sweet spring read aloud that children and adults will appreciate.
